If you’re not into cocktails or if frozen drinks give you a headache (🙋‍♀️), let me introduce you to my favorite fun-in-the-sun refresher: tropical iced tea

I know green and black tea get all the fame, but iced white tea is the unsung hero. It’s light and floral and so easy to dazzle up with some fruit. My favorite twist on white tea is this tropical iced tea recipe I’m going to share with you.

I have to have something cold by my side when I’m sitting by the pool. While trying to slim down, stay energized, and keep my skin clear, I knew I had to do away with the sugary drinks and excessive booze. Which is what inspired me to make this tropical iced tea combination from white tea, particularly iced white tea, to stay cool!

Being bloated in a bikini is literally the worst!!! I started noticing how much sweets and alcohol were affecting my digestion, and knew that I had to make a swap. I love iced white tea as it is, so I knew a white tea remix was in my near future. Iced white tea paired with summer fruit, tropical collagen, and fresh mint is a killer delicious combo. (Plus, helps with bloating!)

White Tea Benefits

This tropical iced tea includes all of the benefits of white tea, plus amazing benefits of collagen!

  • Immune boostingWhite tea is packed with immune boosting properties. One study showed that it can kill a variety of bacteria, viruses, and even fungi in the body. [1]
  • Antioxidants—One of the best characteristics of most tea, including white tea, is that it is full of antioxidants. Antioxidants help to reduce inflammation and even act as anti-cancer agents. [2]
  • L-Theanine—This is hands down my favorite benefit of white tea. It contains the amino acid, L-theanine, which allows for a “slow drip” of caffeine, rather than a spike and crash like coffee. [1]
  • Anti-aging—Collagen is such a smart addition to tea because it tacks on even more benefits, such as anti-aging. Collagen supplements help to rebuild our natural collagen supply, which helps to reduce wrinkles, sagging skin, and cellulite.
  • Mobility—While some people believe tea alone can help you stay flexible and mobile, collagen is the real seal-the-deal ingredient. It helps lubricate joints, improves the strengthening of bones, and allows us to bend and move without the cracking and popping we’ve grown accustomed to.

How To Make Tropical Iced Tea

This tropical iced tea starts with making iced white tea. Steep the tea bags in hot water, then let it cool. Once brewed, we’ll add ice to make it iced white tea. Then we pour in SkinnyFit Tropical Punch Collagen, giving it its tropical iced tea name, followed by fresh fruit. This recipe calls for blueberries and lemons, but you can get creative with whatever you have on hand! Pineapples, raspberries, mango, and strawberries would all go great in this recipe. Once you have everything together, give it a good stir and enjoy your fresh tropical iced tea!
