There’s no denying what a visit to the spa can do for the mind and body. From its cleansing powers to simple, much needed relaxation, hitting the spa can truly do wonders.

But spas are a luxury that many people can’t afford to do as often as they’d like. And if you’re like me, then you’re also looking for other ways to have the same “spa-like” effects from the convenience of your own home.

Well, look no further, because this cucumber water has everything you need to transport yourself to your favorite spa, right at home!

Cucumber Water Benefits

Cucumber water has been unofficially deemed THE  “spa water”, and for good reason. It’s packed with benefits and is the perfect refresher, no matter what time of year!

  • Boosts hydration—We all know how important it is to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water throughout the day. But let’s be honest, that can get just plain boring! Adding in cucumber spruces up your water routine, encouraging you to drink more and stay plenty hydrated! Cucumber water is so refreshing and so delicious, you’ll have no excuse not to get in all your recommended water for the day!
  • Supports weight loss—When you replace soda and sugary drinks with cucumber mint water, you’re cutting out the extra calories that can keep from you hitting your weight loss goals without sacrificing flavor. Not only that, but hydrating helps you feel fuller for longer because your body can sometimes confuse thirst with hunger. So when you stock up on cucumber water, you can curb cravings and skip unwanted snacking.
  • Contains antioxidants & nutrients—This cucumber spa water delivers an extra punch of antioxidants, because cucumbers are rich in vitamin C, beta carotene, manganese, calcium, vitamin A, vitamin K, and potassium. Antioxidants help to prevent cell damage from oxidative stress caused by free radicals. Oxidative stress can lead to a many number of chronic conditions, so not only is this cucumber water oh-so-delicious, it also helps to protect your body. (1)

This spa water recipe also contains mint. Mint is rich in nutrients such as vitamin A, iron, and folate. Mint also helps aid in digestion and contains antibacterial properties that help relieve indigestion and calms an upset stomach. By adding it to your cucumber water, you’ve got an easy way to help calm and relax your belly. (2)

Cucumber mint water is also an excellent way to benefit the skin. The combined hydration of cucumber and water helps replenish dull skin, and the mint in spa water can help combat acne due to its high content of salicylic acid and anti-inflammatory properties. (3)

As you can see, spa water really has it all!

How To Detoxify Your Spa Water

Just as a spa day helps detoxify the body, so does this cucumber mint water recipe. And not just because there’s healthy cucumber and mint in it, but because we’ve added a special surprise ingredient—SkinnyFit Detox Tea!

You can triple up on detoxifying benefits when you add in your favorite detox tea to this spa water recipe. Adding in a detox tea to your cucumber mint water helps rid your body of harmful toxins that can build up over time. Detoxifying the body with cucumber water is the perfect way to feel refreshed, energized, and renewed. The detox tea in cucumber mint water also helps reduce bloating and water weight, so you can reach for your favorite skinny jeans without hesitation! And as if this spa water didn’t have enough benefits, adding detox to the recipe helps boost your immune system—talk about a total body reset!

Detox tea has also been shown to reduce stress due to its unique combination of superfoods. Combine that with cucumber and mint, and you’ve got a triple threat spa water to whisk you away and create some much needed calming moments.

Your masseuse might not love it, but you certainly will!

Cucumber water really has it all. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your new at-home spa session that will save you time, money, and stock your body up on some serious health benefits!
