How To Make A Halloween-Inspired Apple Cider Cocktail

There are two types of people in the world—those that LOVE Halloween, and those that just dress up (or not). I am a Halloween fanatic. Like, I think about what I want to dress up as all year. I’m constantly trying to think of new ideas and get creative with my costumes. So, with all of my efforts focused on my attire, my cocktail party menu items tend to fall to the wayside. Until this year, that is.

I stumbled upon an apple cider cocktail recipe that I just had to recreate. Not only is it the perfect Halloween drink look-wise, but it’s also delicious. I tested it a few more times than necessary, just because of how tasty it is. It’s the perfect Halloween cocktail to enjoy at home before a party, or even to make in bulk for a party of your own!

What Is The Best Halloween Drink?

That’s easy. The best Halloween drink is a very spirited (no pun intended) Halloween cocktail. It’s one that’s as beautiful as it is delicious, and one that won’t make you feel too guilty. I like to eat candy on Halloween, so I want my drinks to be relatively on the healthier side. Which this one is!

The base of this apple cider cocktail is made up of SkinnyFit Detox tea, full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. The perfect inclusion for a night of binging on candy and cocktails! I never want to feel guilty about enjoying myself, and you shouldn’t either! By making a few healthy swaps here and there, like with this Halloween cocktail for example, you can enjoy the festivities of Halloween without getting too wrapped up in everything else. Holidays are meant to be enjoyed. Cut yourself some slack on days to remember, and just hop back on your regular healthy schedule in November, or the next day, depending on when you celebrate. To me, this apple cider cocktail is a great option for Halloween because it’s festive, delicious, and made with ingredients I can feel good about.

How To Make A Poisoned Apple Cider Cocktail

To make this spectacular, spooky apple cider cocktail, you need a few ingredients you may not have on hand. Everything you’ll need includes Sour Apple Pucker Schnapps, Crown Royal apple, cranberry juice, SkinnyFit Detox tea, grenadine, and edible glitter. The first thing you need to do to make this Halloween cocktail is to brew and chill your Detox tea. There are a few ways to do this. You can brew your Detox tea hot and then flash freeze it for about 20-30 minutes, or you can brew your Detox tea hot and then let it chill in the fridge overnight. I prefer the overnight method, personally.

Once you have your chilled Detox tea, it’s time to assemble the apple cider Halloween cocktail! First, grab your cocktail shaker. Measure and pour in your Schnapps, Crown Royal, cranberry juice, chilled Detox tea, grenadine, and even the glitter! Measure the glitter with your heart. Give it a good shake, about 30 seconds, and then pour into your favorite glass! I personally love Halloween-inspired kitchenware, so if you can find a glass that’s spooky, opt for that one! Sip and enjoy!
