Hydrating Iced Coconut Detox

Ingredients

  • ½ inch fresh ginger or ¾ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup honey or sweetener of choice
  • 2 Detox bags
  • 1 cups coconut water
  • ice
  • fresh mint for garnish
  • limes for garnish

Steps

  1. Slice ginger into thin coins then add to small saucepan with honey and water over medium high heat.
  2. Stir until honey and water are combined and bring to a boil. 
  3. Remove from heat then add Detox bags and steep for three minutes.
  4. Remove tea bags (don’t wring out the bags, just lift them out) and ginger pieces then add coconut water and allow the liquid to cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. Strain tea into a pitcher then transfer to fridge to chill for at least two hours.
  6. Serve tea over ice with lime slices and mint leaves to garnish.
