If you’re on the lookout for a healthier alternative to traditional loaded potato sliders for your next summer potluck or backyard BBQ, today’s recipe is for you! These Loaded Sweet Potato Sliders are not only delicious and easy to make, but they also pack a nutritious punch, making them one of my favorite go-to recipes for any summer gathering.

Why We Love This Recipe for Summer Potlucks and BBQs

There’s something about summer that calls for fresh, vibrant, and satisfying dishes, and these sliders hit all the right notes. The sweet potato rounds serve as a delightful and wholesome base, providing a natural sweetness that pairs perfectly with the savory, spiced beef patties. Topped with creamy guacamole and drizzled with a smoky chipotle ranch, these sliders are bursting with flavor.

Not only are these sliders a crowd-pleaser, but they’re also a healthier alternative to the typical loaded potato sliders. Sweet potatoes offer a good source of fiber, vitamins A and C, and antioxidants. Plus, I added a scoop of Super Youth Unflavored to the beef patties, giving them an extra health boost for the gut, skin, hair, nails, and joints.

Health Benefits of the Ingredients

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are rich in beta-carotene, which your body converts into vitamin A, essential for immune function, vision, and skin health. They also provide dietary fiber, which aids in digestion and helps maintain stable blood sugar levels.

Grass-Fed Ground Beef

Using grass-fed ground beef ensures that you’re getting higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), both of which have been linked to various health benefits, including reduced inflammation and improved heart health.

Super Youth Unflavored

Adding Super Youth Unflavored to the patties not only enhances the nutritional profile of these sliders but also provides collagen, which supports skin elasticity, joint health, and muscle recovery. It’s an easy way to boost your intake of this important protein without altering the taste of your dishes.

Spices and Jalapeños

The combination of taco seasoning, chipotle powder, and fresh jalapeños not only adds a burst of flavor but also offers anti-inflammatory properties and metabolism-boosting benefits.

Try ‘Em For Yourself!

These Loaded Sweet Potato Sliders are more than just a tasty appetizer; they’re a healthier choice that doesn’t compromise on flavor. Perfect for summer gatherings, this recipe is sure to impress your guests and keep them coming back for more. So why not give it a try? Whip up a batch for your next potluck or BBQ, and enjoy the compliments as everyone savors these delicious and nutritious sliders. Your summer just got a whole lot tastier and healthier! Happy cooking! 🌞

Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 25 min
Total Time: 40 min
Serving Size: 10 sliders

  • 0.5-1 med/large FAT sweet potatoes scrubbed and sliced into 1/2” thick rounds
  • avocado or olive oil plus salt for roasting
  • 1 lb grass-fed ground beef 85% lean
  • 1 tsp taco seasoning
  • 1 scoop Super Youth Unflavored
  • 1 tsp chipotle powder
  • 0.5 fresh jalapeño minced
  • 1 cloves garlic minced
  • dash of salt
  • Chipotle ranch: 1/4 cup mayo, 1/4 tsp chipotle powder, 1/2 tsp fresh lemon or lime juice, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp paprika, (Optional) salt to taste
  • Extra toppings: guacamole for garnish

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. Scrub and slice sweet potatoes into 1/2” thick rounds, brush a small amount of the oil on both sides of each sweet potato round and arrange on baking sheet spread apart. Roast for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, flip each one, then continue to roast another 10-15 mins or until soft and beginning to brown.
  2. Meanwhile, combine the ground beef, taco seasoning, Super Youth, chipotle powder, minced jalapeño, garlic, and salt in a mixing bowl. Form mixture into 5-6 small patties
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and brush with a bit of oil. You can also grill the patties.
  4. Once skillet is sizzling hot, add patties and fry about 2-3 minutes on each side until desired doneness is achieved. Remove to a plate and cover with aluminum foil to keep warm.

Chipotle ranch:

Whisk ingredients together until well combined. Store both covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Place each sweet potato round on a serving platter and top with a cooked patty. Top each one with guacamole, then drizzle with chipotle ranch as desired. Serve immediately – enjoy!
