Quick & Easy Vegan Cashew Queso

Jump To Recipe

There’s no better excuse to finish off a bag of chips than a good queso dip. I have a special recipe I make almost every Sunday. I laugh every time my boyfriend or his friends compliment me on it because it’s a vegan recipe! There’s zero cheese or milk in it and everyone LOVES it.

With the Super Bowl around the corner, I felt now was the perfect time to share this easy queso recipe. It’s creamy like a queso, has a hint of spice, and comes together so easily.

The Popular Dip Made Healthy!

Traditional queso is delicious, but can leave a heavy feeling in your stomach. The multiple types of cheese, including cream cheese, milk, and butter are high-fat foods that can lead to an upset stomach. Especially if you’re munching on it all day.

This vegan recipe version of a queso dip is much lighter and contains fewer calories. The nine ingredients, including water and salt, are much easier to digest than a lactose-heavy side dish. Plus, if you have any dairy-free friends over, they’ll appreciate being able to chow down with everyone!

Secret Ingredients For Weight Loss

This vegan recipe is kinder to the digestive system than a non-vegan queso thanks to a few key ingredients. Plus, they’re great for weight loss support, too!

Cashews

Cashews are a great source of healthy fats and fiber. Their creamy texture makes them perfect for recreating sauces and dips, like queso. These nuts also contain trace amounts of magnesium, which are great for overall health, including digestion.

Spices

Spices like cumin, chili powder, and harissa help improve metabolic fire. This can mean more regular digestion and an increased metabolism. Plus, including a variety of spices in your dishes can help increase the vitamin and mineral count of your meals!

Super Youth Unflavored

Hydrolyzed collagen is a great way to support your digestive system. The various amino acids that make up collagen have been shown to help smooth and soothe the lining of the digestive tract. [1] This can help reduce gas, bloating, and indigestion. Good quality collagens like Super Youth go completely undetected in recipes, so you can add it whenever you want without altering the flavor of your food or drinks.
