Hey there, food-loving friends! I don’t know about you, but with autumn’s much awaited arrival, here at SkinnyFit we’re all craving those delicious fall flavors. From cozy classics to fresh, harvest-inspired creations, there’s a feast of options waiting in the kitchen. Today’s blog post originated from a little game the team recently played, which involved having to pick between mouth-wateringly delicious SkinnyFit recipes for our individual top choices. Trust me, it was not easy, but definitely a fun time! So, I’d like to invite you to join us for some culinary fun as we play a game of “This or That” with our top team-approved fall recipes. In each category, you’ll have to make the tough call: which recipe has your taste buds dancing? We’re here to serve up some awesome ideas, inspiration, and lots of delicious choices. So, grab a seat at the virtual table, and let’s dive into it!

Round 1: Fall Drinks!

First things first, are you a champagne or vodka type of drinker? Do you prefer something light, or more full of flavor? Is your go-to SkinnyFit drink Detox Tea or Unflavored Super Youth mixed in with your favorite beverage?

Sparkling Apple Cider Mimosa

If you prefer a light champagne drink with a metabolism-boosting kick, the Sparkling Apple Cider Mimosa is just for you. With just 3 main ingredients: Apple cider, sparkling wine, and SkinnyFit Detox, this special drink only takes 5 minutes to whip up and offers a variety of benefits!

Chai Spiced White Russian Cocktail

If a sweet & sassy seasonal cocktail is more your vibe, then our Chai Spiced White Russian Cocktail is absolutely screaming your name. If you’re familiar with a white russian, then you know that it usually is overflowing with excess sugar and more than likely leaves you with a head-pounding hangover in the morning. BUT, fear not! Our version is the healthier, complete opposite of this, which will leave you feeling great and wanting even more.

Round 2: Fall Soups!

Those of you who love all things warm, hearty, and extra savory, you might struggle ever-so-slightly picking between these two. Speaking personally, I’m a huge fan of both. So, if you had to make one right now, which would it be?

Hearty Tuscan Kale Soup

Paired with gut-healthy broth and collagen, the health benefits almost blow any other dish out of the water. It’s easy, low-calorie, and perfect for chilly weather or when you’re feeling under the weather. If you enjoy soups bursting with fresh herbs and spices, make sure to include this one in your lineup for the fall season!

High Protein Chili

Almost nothing compares to a big bowl of chili on a brisk fall evening. Although most chili recipes are known to have an outstanding amount of calories due to the combination of fats, carbs, and proteins mixed together, this recipe is quite the opposite! Instead, it’s high in protein which helps you avoid overeating, keeps you feeling fuller longer, and satisfies all your chili cravings (without the carbs!).

Round 3: Fall Desserts!

Finally, let’s talk about dessert – my personal favorite! Dessert is the best part of any meal, no matter the time of year, but there’s something extra special about them during the holidays. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but holiday desserts just hit the spot! We all know it can be a bit challenging to find a dessert that’s somewhat healthy, but fear not. Our team has chosen two fantastic dessert options that are lower in calories but still bursting with flavor and sweetness. The question is, are you a sweet & fruity person, or do you prefer the rich bitterness of dark chocolate?

Healthy Baked Cinnamon Apple Slices

Healthy baked cinnamon apple slices are a fantastic choice for a wholesome fall dessert. These delectable treats combine the irresistible warmth of cinnamon with the natural sweetness of apples, making them a comforting and guilt-free indulgence! They’re a smart choice for a healthy dessert because they require minimal added sugar, relying mainly on the apples’ own natural sugars. Plus, they’re baked instead of fried, which reduces unnecessary fat and calories. The apples are also a great source of dietary fiber and essential nutrients, making them a nutritious alternative to more traditional, calorie-laden fall treats. So, when you’re looking for a delicious, health-conscious way to satisfy your sweet tooth this fall, this recipe is the answer!

Dark Chocolate Covered Pumpkin Truffles

Calling all chocolate lovers! If holiday truffles are more your thing, then this might be the perfect dessert for you. Dark chocolate covered pumpkin truffles might be a tongue twister, but it’ll make your taste buds dance. They combine the rich, slightly bitter taste of dark chocolate with a creamy, pumpkin spiced filling, offering a perfect blend of flavors that suit the season! Not only are they a healthy option to satisfy your sweet tooth, but they’re easy to make and guaranteed to impress friends and family. One of the best parts? These delectable truffles can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks (but good luck keeping them around for that long!). 😉
